Alfa Romeo GT CabrioletThe image of wafting around the Italian countryside in an open-air cabriolet is inextricably intertwined with our typical notion of Italian motoring. It's somewhat surprising, then, that there wasn't a single four-seat convertible on offer from Italy's automakers until the relatively recent introductions of the Fiat 500C, Ferrari California and Maserati GranCabrio. But there nearly could have been, if only Alfa Romeo had given this project the green light.....

PEUGEOT UNVEILS SXC CROSSOVER CONCEPTPeugeot has revealed its new SXC 'crossover' concept today at the Shanghai show. The new car has been entirely designed by Peugeot's design studios at the China Tech Centre in Shanghai. This is partly a measure of just how important the Chinese car market is becoming (more than 12 million cars are expected to be sold in China this year, making it comfortably the biggest car market in the world) and partly a measure of the increasing importance of the SUV/crossover sector for Chinese consumers.....

New Volkswagen BeetleVolkswagen has taken the wraps off its latest iteration of the iconic Beetle.

The car has grown up in stature and in styling, with the new version being nearly 30cm longer than a Ford Fiesta. The extended body has allowed a lower, more fastback roofline, one of many design traits that hark back to the original, and the 2005 Beetle Ragster Concept. ....
