The two sports cars are being co-developed and Toyota president Akio Toyoda makes no bones about his mission for the FT-86: ‘I want to transfer the thrill of the race track to our vehicles, and make driving fun and exciting for our customers,’ he said.....
Toyota Yaris HSD concept to bow in GenevaToyota has announced that the company will be showing off a new concept at next month's Geneva Motor Show. The Japanese stalwart has big plans for the B-segment in the near future, and those include bringing a full hybrid system to some of the smallest cars on the road, and we'll all get a glimpse into how the automaker plans to do that with the Yaris HSD Concept. Details are remarkably murky at the moment, and while we'd love to be able to tell you all about the vehicle's drivetrain and fuel economy, it looks like we'll just have to wait until the vehicle gets its official unveil next month.....

Toyota recalls 1.6 million vehicles

Toyota is to recall over 1.6 million vehicles worldwide, including hundreds in Ireland, over safety concerns.

1.2 million vehicles are being recalled in Japan and 400,000 in the rest of the world.

Over 140,000 Avensis models are being recalled, bringing the total number or Toyota-recalled vehicles since late 2009, to over 15 million.....
